Rosie's Place

Rosie's Place is open to people ages 12-24. We are a safe place to come get food, hang out, grab hygiene supplies, talk with youth advocates, use our computers, check email, play games, join in workshops and activities, and chill-out in a comfortable, friendly, safe youth space.

Services Offered

We can help with food, shower vouchers, clothing, crisis intervention, shelter, family counseling, medical care, drug/alcohol treatment, hygiene supplies, job search and goal setting, legal support and advocacy, untangling school problems...and more! We follow your lead.
Click here for more local resources.

We serve lunch at 12:30 pm Monday through Wednesday, as well as Friday. Rosie’s Place has Case Managers on-site to help support youth to meet their goals.  Rosie’s Place has a clothing closet and hygiene supplies available during hours of operation. There are outreach/youth advocates available for off-site appointments and we continue to build recreational, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities throughout the week.

Services Workshops and Youth Advisory Council

During the weekday, Rosie’s Place staff offer several workshops, clubs, and support groups for participants. Currently offered:

  • MAGIC the Gathering
  • Cooking Club
  • YMCA field Trips.

Groups and clubs that will be starting soon are: LGBTQQIA Support group for folks 12-24 years old on Thursday evenings, ART workshop on Friday mornings, Monthly field trips and outings with Rosie’s Place and Street Outreach staff

Youth Advisory Council – Is a weekly or bi-weekly meeting between Rosie’s, Street Outreach and Young Adult Shelter staff and participants. The YAC is extremely important for youth and young adults who receive services in any of our three programs to share their ideas, concerns, questions and innovations with staff. CYS staff greatly value youth and young adult’s voice while creating or changing policies, programing, planning events and suggesting workshops and field trips. If you would like participate in the YAC, please talk with any Rosie’s, Street Outreach, or YAS staff.
